Nothing like a fun get away filled with good food, drinks and nature.

San Francisco is so beautiful when it rains.

It was quite cold so I was wrapped like a mummy in my mohair cape.

I love the SF ferry building for food. There is so much to choose from. You must try Taylor's Automatic Refresher for a Blue cheese burger and sweet potato fries. I was in sheer burger heaven! A must after a night of cocktails.

There's always room for dessert. Miette has the most softest moist cupcakes. Perfect with a creamy soy latte from La Boulange...yummmm!

I eat gluten free most of the time. These cookies are to die for! So soft and chewy.

I got some much anticipated packages this weekend. A vintage Testament "Souls of Black" shirt from ebay and Zipper biker boots from La Garconne. My best friend bought a pair of F-Troupe booties and swears they are the most comfortable things ever. So soft and plush to walk in indeed.....

The clouds were incredible on Saturday. So much that I ran out to photograph with wet hair and now have the plague :(

I woke up to a very pleasant surprise. My Pixie Market order had arrived! I tore that box open in no time and devoured my new shoe additions. I can't tell you enough how comfortable these boots are. They are buttery soft leather and very well made. I'm super happy as always with my Pixie Market purchase. I'll post the other ones tomorrow.

I have so many new thrift finds to share with you. I got this lovely semi sheer embroidered shirt a while back. The sheer part extends across your back with the prettiest design! I ended up putting a black zipper skirt on before I left the house.

One of my guilty pleasures is sitting through a long drawn out anime series. I can't get over how incredibility detailed and gorgeous Japanese animation is and the story arcs are so addicting you can't get enough! So how cool is this months Vogue Nippon with their manga issue? The minute I heard about it I knew I had to have it. The phenomenal Anna dello russo stars in her own mini manga. Fashion giants Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld, Suzy Menkes all make an appearance in some crazy drama that I can't read. But it looks juicy! Hopefully someone will translate it.

Here are some photos from my April LA trip with my best friend of 13 yrs (yikes)! I totally forgot about these since my computer fried when I got back. Obviously I salvaged my data and have a new one. Michael lives in New York and is a anxiously awaiting my arrival later in the year. But for now we see each other a couple times a year. This always involves us driving to LA for a fun filled week of all our favorite food and bars. We used to live in the Los Feliz/Silverlake area a few years back.

We're both fond of toothy creatures so we had to stop into the Stella McCartney boutique. The windows were hilarious that day!

I got a pleasant surprise today. I was in great need of a flat sandal after the insane heat wave that hit California a few weeks ago. It made me realize how annoyingly hot and miserable your feet get.

I searched around and fell in love with these Ann Demeulemeester flat lace up ones. But at 675.00 it's impossible to consider for a sandal.

Sneaky snake....

I got my perfect spring shoe almost a month ago. I first saw these in my ELLE collections S/S 07 issue. There they were in white with striped stockings in full strap buckle platform glory.

Of course I forgot they existed until I spotted them on the gorgeous Jane from Sea of shoes. Even then I couldn't find them on Yoox ( I searched daily!). Then Kingdom of style's Queen Michelle posted her white version and mentioned getting them on there as well. I thought well, lets check again. There they were in my size! It was so meant to be. Sure, it will take me a few months to pay them off but whatever they are sick! I didn't have time to properly introduce them due to all my recent trips. I've had a strange fascination with bodysuits lately. So imagine my surprise when I found the mother of all bodysuits. This baby not only has crossing straps, it has a pointed cutout bust! Only drawback is the slightly too large built in cup. Oh well, It has a Azzedine Alaia vibe I can't wait to play around with. I found it the same day as this intriguing long red blazer and acid wash zipper skirt( it zips from top to bottom on both sides!!!). I'm still not sure if I need to take the shoulder pads out, What do you think? I almost like them....

I thought I was done buying vintage metal T's. Then the holy grail of Testament shirts popped on eBay and I couldn't resist. My favorite past time as a junior high student was pouring through CD stacks to discover new bands. I picked up Souls of black by Testament not knowing what it was going to sound like. I was seriously blown away by what I heard. It was probably the same feeling I had when I first heard Fascination street and A forest by The Cure, pure wonderment. I'm the type of person who loves to dream up imagery through music. This wasn't mindless roaring and screeching guitars this was poetry to my ears.

Finding the perfect trench coat is like finding the perfect red lipstick. You come close but never quite what you were wanting. I came close recently with this adorable mini trench.
