Early 90's Vogue

It's that time of the year again. I plop myself in front of a stack of giant fall issues for a look ahead. It is getting sort of repetitive with tons of blogs posting editorials and ads months in advance. I was still surprisingly satisfied with Elle's Fall issue. There was tons of Art/Illustration articles that are so fun to read through. I still get giddy for fall/winter fashion even after pouring through years of fall issues. So I thought it would be fun to look back at Vogue's Fall 93 issue. It was a time not so different in aesthetic from our own. Dark moody florals, Velvets, 30's inspiration, thigh high boots, militant looks all haunted the pages of Vogue. Let us be inspired......

Amazing! This issue was the very first "grown up" fashion magazine that I ever bought! I recognised it instantly, I was so in love with 1993 velvets and over the top costuming!

I know! I'm amazed it survived all these years....I bought some late 80's early 90's back then but I was literally a child and wasn't suppose to read those type of mag's yet. I couldn't help it though I love fashion magazines. So my mom let me :)
